What:
Saturday
October 26
All Hell (Noises Off)
The Hideout
617 Congress Avenue
8pm + $7
All Hell is adapted from the scripted stage show Noises Off ,
a play where the first part is shown as the normal play, while
a second part shows you the backstage happenings of the play you
just saw. To make ours more challenging, as if improvising the
whole thing wasn't hard enough, we'll be taping the first half
and showing that during the second (backstage) part to make sure
we're on point. If you're confused come to the show, always a
good rule to live by.
Friday
November 1
Freaky Super Avant Garde
Tillery and TiLe Show
FAC 21 in between the
tower and the Union
UT Campus
8pm -|- $2 (FREE w/ costume)
FEATURING NOISE POP SENSATION, MISGUIDED LEMMING
This show will be dedicated to pretentious, avant garde theatre
art and its tendency to be ridiculous and powerful at different
times. There will be lots of crowd interaction and lots of technology
and imagery. For those of you that know what I'm saying, we're
going to stack those stupid chairs in FAC 21 and play in that
giant pit. If you don't know what I'm talking about, -AVANT GARde-.
Expect to leave confused and enlightened. If you miss one whj
show in your whole life, this should not be it. We'll all be there.
If you're actually wearing a costume, IT'S
FREE, and you may be asked to be in the show.
Saturday
November 2
Cafe Liso
1506 S. 5th Street
Waco, TX

balls off, improv stylie.
Free Flowy, the format of the Gods, demonstrates the versatility
of the Jury's character and story work. That is what you will
get. You
will love improv after this show, guaranteed.
Friday
November 15
The Waco Civic Theatre
1517 Lake Air Drive
Waco, TX
8pm + $8
The Jury hits Waco on the first leg of their TEXOMA TOUR 2002
before continuing on to Tulsa. Come see their show before it gets
to the point where girls are screaming so loud, they have to stop
doing live shows.
We will be improvising a Shakespearean play ripe with deception,
murder, and little boys in drag. This is not easy but that's why
we're doing it. rock stardom....
Saturday
November 16
The Nightingale Theatre
416
East 4th Street
Tulsa,
Oklahoma
8pm -|- $7
The Jury travels north and takes the sweetness to OK.
whj presents one of their original experimental improv forms for
the people of OK. Real SURreal is an improvised longform story
immediately followed by its avant garde counterpart. The same
improvised story is done twice, with an intense surreal slant
the second time around.
Friday November 29
Crass Menagerie [Film Stylie]
Batts 7 UT Campus
8pm -|- FREE
Crass Menagerie is an original whj format that melds sketch and
improv beautifully. A series of sketchlets (beginnings of sketches
or half-assed concepts) are shown to the audience, after which
they are given the chance to vote on which one they would like
to see improvised to completion through reg. longform.
Except in the film stylie, the sketchlets are in film and video
form, projected on the big screen before the audience vote.
This is a sure-fire format that never quits. It's FREE.
